Join Natera's Genetic Counseling team as a Clinical Assistant II and contribute to improving genetic testing and diagnostics. You will collect follow-up data, act as a liaison between departments, and assist with product improvements and abstract submissions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, verifying samples, streamlining processes, and coordinating student rotations. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Communicate directly with Shipping, Sample Accessioning, Customer Support, and lab teams to troubleshoot issues, verify samples, streamline processes and serve as a liaison between these teams and the genetic counselors
- Assist with data collection for internal projects/product development and abstracts, and provide review/edits for authored abstracts
- Participate in team meetings
- Coordinate student rotation schedules
- Review incoming referrals and request additional documentation/clarification when needed
- Request and track sample collection kits and answer patient questions regarding samples
- Update internal databases regarding test development progress and make notes in LIMS case โnotesโ for each patient or provider contact
- Collect transfer and pregnancy outcome data from clinics and patients
- Assist genetic counselors in answering questions from clinics and customer support
- Coordinate record release requests from patients
- Assist GCs in obtaining applications and tracking licensure in each state
- This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job
- Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire
- Maintain a current status on Natera training requirements
- Employee must pass post offer criminal background check
- Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS in biology, allied health, or science related field
- Will consider candidates in pursuit of four-year bachelorโs degree program provided they meet required education requirements and at least 2-3 years professional work experience in biotech, life sciences, or related industry
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google mail and Google Documents
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
