Clinical Informaticist

Summary

Join Aledade as a Clinical Informaticist and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and clinicians to build and operate the clinical data integration platform. You will enhance the quality of clinical data, resolve data issues, and support quality measurement activities. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical workflows, data management, and health informatics. The position offers flexibility with remote work options within the US or from the Bethesda, MD office. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field and over 5 years of relevant experience are required. Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Medical/Health Informatics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
• Possess over 5 years of relevant experience in clinical informatics or healthcare technology
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing clinical data
• Show a solid understanding and experience with standard Health Information Technology (HIT) vocabularies and terminologies
• Have hands-on experience with one or more ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Exhibit familiarity with quality measure specifications and reporting processes in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key stakeholder in a cross-functional team, focused on enhancing the overall quality of clinical data within Aledade’s technology ecosystem
• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to data entry, interfaces, and processing, while evaluating and escalating clinical data discrepancies across new and established clinical interfaces
• Support quality measurement activities and quality improvement programs by leveraging clinical data. To include mapping clinical data items to standardized code systems, facilitating consistent and meaningful use of data across Aledade’s analytics tools and applications and ensuring precise data submissions and identifying opportunities for improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Show proficiency in data integration and healthcare interoperability standards like HL7, FHIR, or CDA
• Have experience working with cloud-based platforms and tools such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data management
• Possess knowledge of healthcare data governance and best practices in maintaining data integrity and security
• Demonstrate understanding of population health management and the data infrastructure that supports it
• Hold a certification in clinical informatics or health information management (e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS)
• Have experience in applying machine learning or AI technologies within healthcare settings
