Summary

Join Komodo Health and help reduce the global burden of disease by translating clinical knowledge into usable data for our products and analytics suite. This critical role involves supporting customers in understanding clinical questions through analytic queries, defining analytical methods for current and future products, and building new products to meet market needs. You will work in both presales and implementation phases of the sales life cycle and contribute to product development. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the US third-party payment system and its impact on claims data. Requirements

  • Understanding of the third party payment system in the United States and how this system affects the claims data
  • A terminal degree in a healthcare related field with clinical experience treating patients (i.e MDs, PharmDs, DOs, physician assistants and nurse practitioners)
  • Comfort reviewing data and running analysis in SQL/Snowflake
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical data analysis to non-clinical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to define complex patient cohorts using ICD, HCPCS/CPT, and drug codes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external teams
  • Applies AI strategically, knowing how to use the right tools at the right time to solve problems or generate new ideas
  • Uses AI to accelerate feedback loops, test ideas, and make informed decisions faster
  • Applies both judgment and creativity when working with AI and understands its limitations
  • Demonstrates curiosity and initiative in exploring new AI tools and workflows relevant to their role
  • Has developed or shared AI-enhanced workflows, automations, or prompts with others
  • Brings a reflexive AI mindset and uses AI as a natural part of their process to iterate, research, and deliver better work
  • Comfortable working in AI-enhanced environments across writing, data analysis, content creation, or design
  • Regularly leverages AI tools such as Notion AI, Perplexity, Claude, Descript, Runway, Midjourney, or Microsoft Copilot i.e. to improve speed, clarity, or creative output

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership with the translation of clinical knowledge into claims data into our products and analytics
  • Support current and future customers in understanding how to answer clinical questions with analytic queries
  • Understand how new data structures and products will translate into our analytics
  • Define analytical methods for our current products as well as build new products to fit the market need
