Summary

Join MediTelecare as a Clinical Support Specialist and provide both in-person and remote support for clinicians. Onsite, you'll assist patients, prepare for telehealth visits, and support clinicians. Remotely, you'll handle administrative tasks like chart preparation and Behavioral Health Integration. This role requires a high school diploma, basic medical terminology knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required. You'll need a dedicated home office space, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel within a certain radius. The position involves both sedentary and physically active tasks.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum High School Diploma
  • Have basic working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrate experience in the use of online healthcare tools
  • Show proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Maintain full confidentiality and compliance with sensitive medical information, including but not limited to HIPAA protected information and PHI
  • Demonstrate commitment to providing platinum-level customer service and communication
  • Show ability to embrace a company culture of caring and kindness
  • Have a dedicated home office space with a closing door that is free from distractions and meets HIPAA and PHI standards
  • Have a reliable home internet connection
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation
  • Have the ability to travel up to 1 hour in any direction from home office to cover clinics when needed
  • Be able to stand, walk, see, speak, hear – both in person and remotely; use hands, fingers to type or use manual equipment, reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, bend, crouch. Specific vision requirements include close-up corrected vision
  • Be able to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs. without restrictions
  • Be able to remain sedentary for long periods of time while working on administrative tasks

Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients by offering education related to their behavioral health visits, whether the treating clinician is conducting the visit in person or via telehealth
  • Providing technical support and assistance for telehealth visits to include room and equipment preparation
  • Supporting clinicians by accessing vitals and other relevant data from the facility’s EMR
  • Procurement of patient referral documents as needed
  • Acting as a liaison between the clinicians and the facility staff
  • Interacting with staff and/or family members as necessary
  • Maintaining responsibility for proper handling and cleaning of MediTelecare equipment
  • Completing assigned number of BHI cases within the required timeline by gathering necessary information from patient medical records and entering it into the company’s BHI system/software
  • Providing assistance to assigned clinicians by accessing the facility’s EMR and recording relevant data into our EHR system in preparation for the clinical visit
  • Working closely with the clinician to assure that patient visits run smoothly and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have 1+ year in a healthcare setting
  • Possess Medical Assistant or CNA certification
