Summary
Join Rev.io's expanding Technology Team as a talented and experienced cloud database expert! You will play a mission-critical role supporting our SaaS recurring revenue, payments, and customer management systems. This position involves working closely with engineering and analytics teams, supporting multiple LOB applications, and ensuring optimal database performance. You will focus on production system support, on-call rotation, and providing expert DBA services. The role requires strong SQL Server experience in Azure and proven performance tuning capabilities. Requirements
- Strong experience with multiple versions of SQL Server including Azure SQL database, Azure SQL Managed Instances, and boxed versions of Microsoft SQL Server
- Cloud experience within the SQL Server ecosphere (Azure SQL, SQL on VM) including security management, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of those services
- High-level, demonstrable performance tuning capabilities including stored procedure tuning and optimization, query store, tracing, and compute optimization
- Hands-on experience managing SQL Server data and workloads in the cloud
- 3+ years of experience managing Azure SQL database technologies
Responsibilities
- Focus on support for production systems in the cloud, on-call rotation for critical incidents
- Provide DBA operational support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness
- Provide accurate and creative solutions to customer problems to ensure customer success
- Provide DBA services and best practices to different teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database operational and analytical production support
- Supporting operational and analytical relational databases, with a focus on Azure database technologies
- Provide thorough analysis and troubleshooting for database performance across multiple versions of SQL Server
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorโs Degree in Database Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other data-focused major
- Expert level familiarity with Azure SQL Managed Instances including cost optimization and performance tuning
- Experience working in an Agile framework for project related tasks to support product development needs
