Summary
Join Striim, a unified data integration and streaming platform company, as a Cloud Database Migration Architect. This role is an integral part of the Partner and Business Development organization, working closely with partners to design and implement cloud integration solutions. You will onboard new customers, lead technical teams, and champion customer needs. The position requires extensive experience in customer-facing roles, focusing on sales and technical engagement. You will also design enablement strategies, build presentations, create prototypes, and document processes. This is a technical, hands-on position requiring strong communication and collaboration skills.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in sales-oriented, customer-facing technical roles, e.g., Sales Engineer/Pre-sales Engineer, Partner Engineer, Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, Customer Success Engineer
- 4+ years of experience with database management systems software such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL Programming Language
- 2+ years of experience programming languages such as Java, Python, Shell scripting
- Experience working with or for Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure
- Experience working with Change Data Capture (CDC) and large data environments, data warehousing, data lakes, and data integrators
- Experience working with cloud security and networking
- Experience working with Message Systems such as Kafka and JMS
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Google BigQuery and Databricks
- Proven experience supporting or participating in the sales lifecycle, including pre-sales activities, driving customer adoption, renewals, and upselling opportunities
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally (up to 25% of the time)
- Bachelorβs degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Onboard new Striim customers through partner programs, delivering Striim training, solution strategy, technical enablement, and implementation guidance during the deployment process
- Lead customer technical teams to implement Striim best practices
- Be the in-house customer champion, coordinating with Striim customer support and stakeholders to drive technical advocacy, product evolution, and technical innovation
- Proactively engage existing Striim partner program customers to realize technology value with further adoption of the Striim platform, demonstrating new applications and use cases for Striim
- Track customer issues, collaborate with support on customer-training-related matters, and work with customers to develop and track product feature requests
- Design and deliver technical enablement strategies to partners' engineering and field teams
- Build engaging presentations and demos to help communicate the value of Striim to partners and prospective customers
- Create prototypes to promote new use cases with partner technology portfolios, while coordinating with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders
- Document the end-to-end process, contributing to an internal knowledge base for other teams to use
- Support the sales organization in opportunities where partner offerings are involved, serving as the subject matter expert
- Provide advice and guidance on product roadmap, including technology partner decisions and feature requests
- Serve as the technical project manager to support joint initiatives with partners
- Develop knowledge and capacity to test and integrate the Striim Platform with a variety of Enterprise Data Platforms, Systems and Architecture including: SQL, RDBMS, Data Warehouses, cloud computing services, Linux/Unix
- Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of enterprise IT architecture and systems, cloud computing services, Big Data platforms, Business Intelligence software, ETL Platforms, Traditional SQL and NoSQL RDBMS, Data Replication solutions
