Requirements

  • Be highly skilled in Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Have 4-6 years of experience (minimum)
  • Be skilled in planning, designing, building, and implementing cloud services with non-functional requirements
  • Be skilled in networking and security
  • Be skilled in administering Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems
  • Be skilled in writing infrastructure as code scripts (ARM Templates, Python, PowerShell, Bash, T-SQL)
  • Be skilled in working with relational database technologies (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Be skilled in optimizing workloads and reducing run times for automated processes
  • Be skilled in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps)
  • Have experience in configuration/orchestration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, DSC)
  • Have knowledge of NoSQL database technologies
  • Be Microsoft Azure Administrator certified or have a future equivalent certification
  • Be Microsoft Azure Security Engineer certified or have a future equivalent certification

Responsibilities

  • Implement business initiatives across public cloud domains
  • Contribute to solution design and articulate it to the business
  • Ensure solutions are fit for purpose regarding cost, requirements, resilience, performance, security, and future-proofing
  • Distribute knowledge and skills around cloud services to the wider Technology team, including the Data Science Team
  • Support monolithic databases during their transformation
  • Collaborate with other engineers/technology professionals to implement and thoroughly test business solutions on the cloud
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Cloud Services innovations and find ways to use them to improve business continuity, performance, security, and cost savings
  • Create, lead, and contribute to the creation of best practices and standards on cloud for all Technology teams
  • Contribute to the creation of designs for various cloud-based business solutions
  • Train and coach colleagues on working with various cloud services and following standards and best practices
  • Create required documentation to meet business objectives and compliance requirements
  • Ensure services owned by the team are always in optimal health and respond to incidents (outages or security breaches)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience working with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Have knowledge of Data Science tools (Google/Jupiter Notebooks)
  • Have other latest Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform certifications
