Cloud Engineer

Summary

The job description is for a Cloud Engineer I position at Agile Defense, located in Ashburn, VA (Remote). The role involves providing network engineering guidance into cloud deployment projects and application architecture, with a focus on secure and reliable network connectivity to cloud services. The employee will be responsible for building Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI), Netbond, Direct Connect and VPN connections, migrating from legacy on-prem networking to the Cloud Networking, deploying and managing virtual servers in the Cloud, deploying and managing containers in the Cloud, and more.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT Systems, or other related discipline
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in Network Design, Network Engineering, Network Operational Support and Cloud engineering experience of Medium to Large enterprise network environments
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public and Private Cloud
• Experience with Azure Cloud
• Experience with Google Cloud
• Experience with Cloud Service Routers (CSRv)

Responsibilities

• Building Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI), Netbond, Direct Connect and VPN connections
• Lead Migration from legacy on-prem networking to the Cloud Networking
• Deploy and manage virtual servers in the Cloud
• Deploy and manage containers in the Cloud
• Deploy and manage elastic IPs and elastic network interfaces in the Cloud
• Deploy and manage Cloud based load balancing

Preferred Qualifications

Desired certifications: AWS: Networking and/or Security Specialty, Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
