Cloud Engineer

Summary

Join Capco, a global management and technology consultancy, as a remote Cloud Engineer based in Poland. This role requires 10-18 hours per week and involves designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud applications and services using AWS. You will leverage your expertise in AWS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Terraform to automate cloud resources, develop serverless applications, and manage containerized apps. Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.)
• Strong skills in Terraform for automating cloud resources
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, ECS) and serverless applications (Lambda)
• Familiarity with Git for code versioning
• Knowledge of CI/CD and cloud monitoring tools
• Great communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
• Good organizational skills working with multiple stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud applications using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, and others
• Automate cloud resources with Terraform for easy deployment and management
• Develop serverless apps with Lambda and manage containerized apps with ECS
• Write clean code in JavaScript and TypeScript for cloud applications
• Set up and manage automated deployment pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
• Monitor app performance, fix issues, and ensure high availability
• Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with teams

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Developer)
• Knowledge of microservices or event-driven architecture
