Remote Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Summary

Join our world-class team as a Lead Cloud Engineer and be part of an agile project team working with all infrastructure pieces of a system. You'll write code, provision infrastructures, drive root cause analysis, and guide the team on DevOps methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

• One or more programming language such as Ruby, Python, Bash or JavaScript
• Roaming around Linux/Unix systems and pinpointing problem root causes
• Understanding how the Internet and Web applications work under the hood
• Metrics, logs, distributed tracing and everything around observability
• Configuration management frameworks such as Ansible
• Maintaining applications in a production environment
• Being self-driven and working with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose
• Comfortable with DevOps methodologies and best practices

Responsibilities

• Write code to provision infrastructures
• Drive root cause analysis
• Guide the team on DevOps methodologies and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Cloud provider AWS
• Experience setting up CI/CD and AWS networking and accounts
• Experience with Containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes and Docker
• A solid understanding of CI/CD independently from the tools - Github, Github actions and Jenkins are a plus)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and it's tools, such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Cloudformation or CDK
• Experienced with monitoring using Grafana and or Kibana or other
• Experienced with language for automation task and scripting such as Bash, Python or Javascript
