Cloud Engineer

Summary

Collaborate with development, security, and data teams to ensure seamless deployment and high availability. Drive automation, security, and performance in our AWS-based infrastructure. Optimize cloud resources while following best practices. This role involves incident response, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing with other engineers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer
• Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, IAM, etc.)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and access control in the cloud
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or CloudWatch
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance
• Implement auto-scaling, load balancing, caching, and other optimization techniques
• Implement robust security measures such as IAM best practices, network security policies, and encryption
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal security policies
• Continuously monitor and improve cloud security posture
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Automate deployment pipelines and improve CI/CD processes
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure high availability
• Identify and resolve cloud-related incidents such as infrastructure failures and performance bottlenecks
• Work with development teams to troubleshoot and improve system reliability
• Work closely with developers, security teams, and data engineers to align cloud solutions with business needs
• Document cloud architectures, processes, and best practices
• Share knowledge and mentor other engineers on cloud best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) or container orchestration
• Knowledge of FinOps principles for cost optimization
• Experience working in high-scale environments with distributed systems
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.)
