Join our team as a Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer, responsible for managing and securing our cloud infrastructure, including Azure Government enclaves and Kubernetes clusters. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and optimize cloud solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and implements best practices for security and compliance. This position plays a vital role in driving innovation and efficiency within our cloud operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer, specifically with Azure
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Security+
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Department of Defense security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization, including Azure Government enclaves and Kubernetes clusters
  • Deploy, configure, test, secure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Maintain our environment to comply with FedRAMP high requirements and provide monthly reporting
  • Secure and maintain the stack to fix any cybersecurity vulnerability, CVE, etc
  • Ensure our SLAs are met, and the platform is up and stable
  • Build all automation to achieve these tasks with ease and visibility, automated alerting, etc
  • Uphold and enforce compliance, privacy and security policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Regularly review system security measures and recommend enhancements
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure security practices are compliant with internal and external standards
  • Collaborate with the team to communicate privacy concerns and data protection strategies

Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience with GCP and AWS is preferred
