Cloud Native OPS Engineer Senior

Summary

Join our highly specialized team as a Cloud Native OPS Engineer Senior and play a key role in maintaining the BlueCAP platform, built on Kubernetes and OpenShift. You will support internal delivery teams, manage global resource allocation, and collaborate with system engineers to ensure secure and optimal operation of applications.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Kubernetes; knowledge of OpenShift is a plus
• Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL is beneficial
• Experience with Python, Victoria Metrics, Kibana, and Grafana is a plus
• Understanding of Agile development environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
• Fluent in both Dutch and English
• A proactive, flexible, and quality-driven mindset with a focus on performance, safety, and stability

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the on-prem cloud environment, BlueCAP, built on Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Support internal delivery teams by providing reusable components such as logging, metrics, AMQ, and vulnerability scanning
• Manage global resource allocation (adding nodes) and introduce new products to the platform
• Collaborate with system engineers, developers, product owners, and system architects to ensure secure and optimal operation of applications
• Write and update documentation, checklists, and best practices to support delivery teams
• Perform new development, bug fixing, and offer on-call support on a rotational basis (approx. once every 6 weeks)
