Participate in the SDLC, following best practices for security, coding style, pull requests, and documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in C# and .NET development
• Strong proficiency in C# and.NET Framework
• Experience in migrating applications from .NET Framework to .NET Standard 2.0 or .NET 8

Responsibilities

• Influence the technical direction for client’s systems and solutions
• Collaborate with other developers and product managers to identify the right technical solutions that achieve Customer’s goals
• Continuously broaden and deepen  your skill set to solve new technical challenges
• Provide Fanatical Support for our production system by fixing bugs and triaging alerts
• Write clean, maintainable code using engineering best practices
• Migrate Job Engine plugins and supporting libraries to .NET Standard 2.0 or .NET 8 in dependency order
• Ensure libraries shared by other .NET Framework services target .NET Standard 2.0 for compatibility
• Address compatibility issues with third-party NuGet packages by upgrading versions or identifying functionally equivalent alternatives
• Follow documented best practices for security, coding style guides, pull requests, documentation
• Collaborate with engineering team to perform unit and integration testing for migrated libraries

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and gRPC (desired)
• Proven experience with plugin-based architectures and device polling protocols such as SNMP or WMI
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills to provide detailed progress updates and collaborate effectively
• Experience being part of a team that practices CI/CD automation
• Should be capable to maintain existing customers product or create and new products
• Good communication skills - both verbal and written
• Creative problem solver, will  own issues until full resolution
• Effective with time management and expectation management (for deliverables)
• Good team player who is keen to share knowledge as well as to listen and learn from others
• Willingness to learn and a quick learner
• Demonstrated passion for independent learning and knowledge sharing
• Degree in computer science  (preferred) or other technology/engineering subject
