Remote Collaborating Physician - Telehealth Cognitive Care, Geriatrician, Internal Medicine, Family Practice or Neurologist

Join our team and make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of older adults through innovative telehealth services, while supporting and guiding our dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). We are seeking a Physician specializing in Geriatrics or Cognitive Neurology to see and assess patients with cognitive disorders, supervise APPs, and provide guidance and support.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Neurology with a subsequent fellowship in Behavioral/cognitive Neurology or Geriatrics
• Strong clinical experience in managing patients with memory/cognitive disorders
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or Neurology
• Valid medical license to practice in state where supervision is required
• Proficiency in telemedicine platforms and technologies for conducting remote patient consultations
• Strong clinical skills in geriatric and cognitive assessment, management of complex medical conditions, and medication management
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with elderly patients, families, and healthcare colleagues through virtual channels
• Commitment to staying up to date with advancements in Memory/cognitive disorders and their care and management, telemedicine, and healthcare technology

Responsibilities

• Offer direct patient-facing consultations as needed to address complex cases
• Supervise and mentor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across different states, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations and standards
• Provide guidance and support to APPs in conducting virtual patient consultations, performing comprehensive cognitive assessments, and managing complex medical conditions
• Oversee the prescription of medications and the ordering of diagnostic tests by APPs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care and ensure cohesive treatment plans
• Promote healthy aging and enhance the quality of life for older adults through telehealth services
• Ensure APPs stay up to date with advancements in geriatric medicine, telemedicine, and healthcare technology
• Maintain excellent communication with elderly patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues through virtual channels
