Join RetailNext as a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our growing legal function. You will play a key role in reviewing and managing contracts, supporting legal operations at our SaaS company, and assisting with compliance, privacy, and other legal matters. This role offers variety and the opportunity to grow with our expanding legal needs. Responsibilities include contract management, privacy program management, communication and coordination with internal teams, support for various projects, and contributions to legal operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong contractual experience, SaaS industry experience, and excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Requirements
- Strong contractual experience : confident reviewing, editing, and indexing commercial agreements
- SaaS industry experience : familiar with the legal needs of a fast-paced, software-as-a-service business
- Self-starter mentality : able to work independently and take initiative on diverse projects
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or related field
- 2–4+ years in a paralegal or legal operations role, ideally in a SaaS or tech company
Responsibilities
- Review and manage commercial agreements (MSAs, DPAs, NDAs) from initial review through execution, and maintain contract database with proper indexing for accurate reporting
- Manage internal organization and recordkeeping of the privacy program, conduct privacy research, and work on compliance aspects for privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Work with internal cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, People) to support their legal needs and coordinate with outside counsel on various legal matters as needed
- Support various projects including corporate governance tasks like subsidiary documentation and intellectual property portfolio management
- Support process improvements and handle research projects and other legal matters as they arise in our dynamic business environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Privacy program management : experience managing privacy compliance programs and understanding of data privacy and data protection laws – nice to have
