Join Omnidian, a fast-growing tech-enabled service company, as a Technical Project Manager to play a critical role in coordinating and executing preventative maintenance for commercial solar assets. You will serve as a liaison between clients, field service partners, and internal teams, managing onboarding and resolving technical issues. This role requires strong communication, technical understanding of solar technologies, and project management skills. You will be responsible for coordinating service scheduling, tracking progress, and mediating technical discrepancies. Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in solar energy, technical project management, or operations coordination
  • At least 3 years of experience working with commercial solar systems, including asset management, field service support, or monitoring platform oversight
  • Proven track record in managing cross-functional technical projects and coordinating with both internal teams and third-party service providers
  • Proficiency in solar monitoring platforms (e.g., AlsoEnergy, SolarEdge) and interpreting system performance data
  • Experience working within CRM or workflow systems such as Salesforce to manage service tickets, reporting, and communications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the onboarding process for new preventative maintenance programs across Omnidian’s commercial solar portfolio
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including the Manager of Technical Operations—to align scope, timelines, and deliverables with client and field service expectations
  • Coordinate service scheduling and track progress to ensure timely execution of contractual maintenance obligations
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and communicate status updates across teams to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Act as the first line of response when technical questions or discrepancies arise during field service execution
  • Mediate between clients and field service partners to clarify expectations and determine the most effective resolution paths
  • Translate technical issues into actionable solutions, leveraging your knowledge of solar technologies, DAS platforms, and system performance metrics
  • Support work order creation and closure by collaborating with field partners and internal systems teams
  • Facilitate post-service reviews to identify improvements and contribute to ongoing process optimization

Preferred Qualifications

  • NABCEP certification or completion of relevant NABCEP coursework
  • Familiarity with battery storage technologies and their integration into solar systems
  • Experience supporting or leading preventative maintenance programs in a commercial field services setting
  • Exposure to contract interpretation, pricing discussions, or service level agreement (SLA) management
