Computer Systems Analyst

Summary

Join the NHLBI's Technology and Applications Center (ITAC) Business Solutions Delivery Branch (BSDB) as a Section 508 Compliance Analyst. This role focuses on ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities across NHLBI's digital assets. You will collaborate with contract teams and stakeholders to review and remediate compliance issues. A deep understanding of accessibility principles, government regulations, and experience with enterprise applications and accessibility tools are essential. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least five years of experience in a computer-related field. Telework is eligible for this position.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field (Information Sciences; Computer Science; Computer Programming and Data Processing)
• Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a computer-related field
• Demonstrate knowledge of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
• Possess excellent analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills
• Possess strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Be proficient in using Deque aXe; Sortsite; Compliance Sheriff; Arc Toolkit; Accessibility Insights; Wave; Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support services to the NHLBI's Technology and Applications Center (ITAC) Business Solutions Delivery Branch (BSDB)
• Ensure compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
• Work collaboratively with contract teams, CORs, and other stakeholders to review and remediate 508 compliance issues across NHLBI's digital assets, including websites, applications, and document files
