Consultant, Technical Services (DevOps)

Summary

Join Veeva Systems, a leading life sciences industry cloud company, as a Technical Consultant. You will play a key role in building DevOps strategies, ensuring operational efficiency and customer success. This position requires strong technical expertise in DevOps, experience with cloud platforms (AWS), and proficiency in scripting languages like Python. You will lead, design, and build DevOps strategies, provide application support, automate processes, and develop internal/external tools. Requirements

• At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent relevant working experience
• 3+ Year Hands-on DevOps experience, e.g., designing and implementing the CICD strategy, and hands-on deployment works
• Proficient in Jenkins CI/CD for automating application development and deployment processes
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation purposes
• Direct experience with Java/Spring/REST
• Hands-on experience in designing/developing/deploying solutions to AWS Cloud
• Fluent in written English and good in oral English communications
• Strong communication skills to support your role and work closely with people from different cultures and backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, and build DevOps strategy to support Veeva’s business partners to achieve operational excellence
• Provide application support and troubleshooting issues related to infrastructure, platform, and deployments
• Automate processes using APIs for infrastructure operations and integrations with other systems
• Develop and maintain scripts in Python or other scripting languages to automate tasks
• Monitor all the processes through the project lifecycle to ensure adherence or updates whenever needed
• Develop internal and external tools to help our customers and consultants
• Assistance to project implementations wherever technical needs arise

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Japanese or Korean-speaking
• Work experience with people from different cultures globally
• Pharma industry knowledge, especially in clinical trials
• Customer service or consulting experience
