Content and Editorial Coordinator

Summary

Join Designit's team as a Blog Coordinator for a 3-month contract position (20 hours/week), supporting the Azure AI Blog. You will review and edit blog posts, manage publishing schedules in WordPress, collaborate with marketing teams, and ensure content quality. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of digital marketing experience, copy-editing skills, and WordPress expertise. This role offers remote work and a collaborative environment focused on work-life balance and professional development. Compensation is $34-$35 per hour.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in digital marketing
• Copy-editing experience
• Technical writing or content experience
• Experience managing and maintaining editing blog content in WordPress using the Gutenberg editor, overseeing formatting, SEO optimization, and applying blogging best practices
• Experiencing managing tasks and projects with limited oversight and guidance
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
• Strong skills in multitasking, organization, and time management

Responsibilities

• Review posts from key contributors and edit to ensure proper brand voice, grammar, format, styling, and alignment with established blogging best practices, and the Microsoft Writing Style Guide
• Stage, schedule, and monitor content for publishing in WordPress
• Partner closely with the Microsoft Product Marketing teams to track and manage their blog content, provide guidance on publishing schedule, and keep the editorial calendar updated in real-time
• Partner closely with the Cloud Marketing social team and programming team to ensure blog posts are amplified across appropriate social channels
• Partner closely with the Cloud Marketing YouTube team to closely align on the videos that will be embedded in blog posts
• Ensure quality of content from end-to-end and perform thorough quality checks on all blog content before it is published
