Content Writer

Summary

Join Education Perfect (EP), an EdTech platform, as a contract-based Grade 8 Language or Grade 9 English teacher to adapt lessons on the EP platform. You will ensure lessons meet specific expectations and content quality standards, aligning with learning goals and success criteria. This role requires three years of Ontario Curriculum teaching experience and experience creating online educational resources. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and able to collaborate effectively. The contract runs from early December 2024 to late February 2025, with flexible hours and remote work options. Payment is per lesson adapted, and ongoing support is provided.

Requirements

• Have three years’ experience teaching the Ontario Curriculum for Language (Grade 8) or English (Grade 9)
• Have experience writing robust educational resources for online use
• Have experience collaborating on, and applying actionable feedback to, written work
• Have excellent attention to detail, time-management skills and can meet deadlines
• Be tech-savvy and have used online tools for visualising learning resources
• Commit to a minimum of 10-15 hours per week from early December 2024 to late February 2025

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons on the EP platform to meet Specific Expectations B3.2 and B3.3
• Ensure lessons meet content quality standards and align with specific Learning Goals and Success Criteria
• Work across topics and grades using the suite of Google applications (Docs and Sheets) and project management software to track completion

Preferred Qualifications

Have experience teaching English grammar or are TESL Canada certified
