Summary

Join our team as a Contract Analyst and ensure consistent management of budget updates and contract drafting. You will collaborate with various departments to prepare, review, and negotiate budgets and contracts. Responsibilities include creating and finalizing contractual documents, providing budget updates, analyzing customer needs, and serving as the primary contact during negotiations. You will also follow up on the contracting process, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer specifications. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, along with experience in contract management or related fields.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biomedical, Bio-engineer, etc.)/Life Sciences is preferred
  • > 1 years’ experience in one of the following environments: contract management, clinical contracting, finance, legal (paralegal)
  • Ability to manage multiple budgets/contracts of varying types and size through the contract administration process
  • Confident to deal with all internal / external Customer levels (with guidance where necessary)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, databases
  • Demonstrates excellent numeracy skills and financial understanding
  • Fluent in English
  • Communication – excellent written, oral and negotiation skills
  • Above average organizational skills, with good time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility, including coordination with Business Development, Project Management, Operations, Legal, and Finance to prepare, review and negotiate budgets/contracts
  • Creates, negotiates, and finalizes budgets and contractual documents, including Start-up Agreements, Task Orders, Change Orders etc., per guidance provided by a Contract Manager, and in conjunction with relevant departments
  • Provides budget updates/amends budgets as required all stakeholders ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Analyzes the customer’s needs and translates the service requirements into budget updates for Task Orders/Change Orders
  • Serve as the primary contact during the negotiation phase, per guidance provided by a Contract Manager
  • Provides quality deliverables adhering to strict deadlines
  • Follow up on the contracting process and ensure that all is in accordance with company policies, legal & regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
  • Ongoing proactive involvement with project management in review of project status, including review of contractual status to ensure compliance with contractual terms, milestones, and identification of changes to contracts
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of relevant databases (Salesforce etc.) - Participate in customer meetings as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the CRO business (preferably central laboratory services) is an asset
  • Dutch is an asset
