Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in contract administration with experience in both federal government and commercial sectors
  • Solid understanding of government contracting regulations and processes, including familiarity with FAR and DFARS for government contracts and industry standards for commercial contracts
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of government and commercial contracts, ensuring fulfillment of contractual obligations and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensure all contracting activities adhere to federal regulations for government contracts, including FAR and DFARS, as well as industry standards for commercial contracts
  • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions of contracts to secure favorable outcomes for the organization
  • Identify potential contract risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact
  • Track and report on contract performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
  • Work closely with internal departments, such as legal, finance, program management, and operations, to support contract-related activities
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of all contracts, prepare reports for senior management, and provide insights on contract status and compliance
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the contracting process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in contract management (such as CFCM, CPCM, or equivalent)
