Summary

Join our team as a part-time faculty member to mentor dissertation committees for the Ph.D. in Health Education and Promotion program at Walden University. As a contributing faculty, you will be responsible for student research mentoring within the college's doctoral degree programs. You will serve on and/or chair dissertation committees, manage dissertation quality through service as a university research reviewer, and participate in university and college-based residencies.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in the field of Health Education, Health Promotion, Health Studies, Wellness Education, or related field from an accredited university
  • Strong research methodology background in quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed methods
  • A significant record of intellectual and professional contributions to the field of Health Education and Promotion or related field, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
  • Experience serving on doctoral dissertation committees is required; experience chairing is preferred
  • Three to five years of independent research project mentoring is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Chair dissertation committees
  • Serve as the second member of committees
  • Manage dissertation quality through service as a university research reviewer
  • Participation in university and college-based residencies

Benefits

  • $1,560 - $4,080 per Quarter or Semester for Graduate Course Instruction
  • $700 - $2,200 per quarter for Undergraduate Course Instruction
