Join our high-performance team as an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Controller! This remote role, for South African citizens only, focuses on real-time bidding for ambulance runs and coordinating with crews for efficient job completion. It's a fast-paced position requiring exceptional speed, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure. You will be responsible for monitoring and bidding on live ambulance runs, calculating ETAs, coordinating with EMS crews, and maintaining meticulous records. A fixed fiber line internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps and a reliable power backup solution are mandatory. Prior EMS dispatch, operations coordination, or logistics experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Work EST hours, Monday - Friday
• This is a remote working role for South African Citizens only
• A fixed fiber line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory
• A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages

Responsibilities

• Monitor and bid on live ambulance runs— within 5 seconds —to maximize awarded dispatches
• Calculate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and crew availability in real time
• Coordinate closely with EMS crews to ensure successful execution of each awarded run
• Maintain meticulous records of bids and awarded calls

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in EMS dispatch, operations coordination or logistics is perferred
• Exceptional speed, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure
• Strong computer navigation skills, including MS Office and Outlook
• Organized and thick-skinned—able to keep calm and focused in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
• Communication is less important than precision, reaction time, and follow-through
