Summary
Join Management Solutions as a Project Controls Associate and contribute to the planning, scheduling, and cost control of major initiatives. You will develop and maintain integrated schedules, collect and update project data, monitor project metrics, and generate cost forecasts. Responsibilities include conducting financial analyses, assessing project impacts, and recommending resource adjustments. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience with scheduling software (Primavera 6), and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred)
- 2-5 years of work experience
- Analytical and good with numbers
- Experience with scheduling
- Organized, detail oriented and proactive
- Experience with Primavera 6
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated critical path schedules in accordance with project specifications
- Document planning objectives, scope, and milestones for inclusion in scheduling processes
- Collect and update project progress data from project teams and stakeholders
- Monitor project metrics including schedule dates, physical percent complete, resource needs, subcontractor deliverables, and accruals
- Track schedule progress and resource productivity
- Generate time-phased project cost and resource forecasts and validate project cost data
- Monitor actual expenditures against forecasts and project deliverables
- Conduct financial variance, risk, and profit/loss analyses
- Create non-routine financial reports and perform complex analyses
- Assess and document the cost and schedule impact of project changes
- Raise early warning signals for project risks and delays
- Recommend resource adjustments to maintain project timelines
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and federal/government contract requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with DoD or DOE contracts
- Familiarity with project controls tools and methodologies in a federal contracting environment
