Controller, Residential Services

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our finance team. The Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, acquisition integration, internal controls, accounts management, cash management, audit coordination, Sage expertise, and team leadership. They will also provide strategic support to senior management and the board of directors. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CMA certification, 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting or controller role, proven experience with Sage accounting software, and strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and financial planning
• Acquisition Integration: Manage the financial integration of acquired companies, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment with corporate accounting policies and procedures
• Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Accounts Management: Supervise the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions
• Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital to support the company’s operational needs and growth objectives
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely completion and addressing any audit findings or recommendations
• Sage Expertise: Utilize Sage accounting software to its full potential, ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and system integrity. Train and support staff in the effective use of Sage
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance
• Strategic Support: Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management and the board of directors, supporting strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and long-term planning
