This is a fully remote opportunity based in Poland with occasional travel to KrakΓ³w. Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in data transformation, modeling, and analytics engineering, with a significant focus on complex SQL and data warehousing
- Expert-level proficiency with Python for advanced data manipulation, automation, and building analytical tools
- Extensive experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses, including performance tuning and cost optimization
- Demonstrated expertise with ThoughtSpot or other leading BI tools, with a proven track record of designing and implementing advanced self-service analytics solutions
- Deep understanding and practical experience with data warehousing concepts, advanced dimensional modeling, and performance optimization techniques for large datasets
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong strategic and business-oriented mindset capable of translating complex data into actionable business value
- Proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior team members, and drive technical initiatives from conception to deployment
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain advanced dbt models and complex data transformations to support enterprise-wide analytics and reporting, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity
- Design, build, and optimize highly performant SQL-based data models within Snowflake, establishing best practices for data warehousing and dimensional modeling across the organization
- Lead the development and implementation of sophisticated ThoughtSpot dashboards and advanced self-service analytics capabilities, enabling business users to derive deep insights from data
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other analytics engineers and data professionals, fostering a culture of excellence in data modeling and analytics engineering
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to establish and enforce high standards for data quality, reliability, and documentation
- Drive the adoption of self-service analytics solutions, including advanced NLP capabilities in ThoughtSpot, by providing expert guidance and training to business stakeholders
- Define, implement, and champion organization-wide best practices for analytics governance, data security, data lineage, and operational efficiency
- Proactively engage with senior business stakeholders to deeply understand strategic reporting and analytical needs, translating them into innovative, scalable, and impactful data solutions
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance our analytics infrastructure and capabilities
- Lead initiatives to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and optimal performance across all reporting and analytics solutions, collaborating closely with QA and Data Governance teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience with dbt for complex data transformation and modeling, including package development and orchestration
- Strong knowledge and practical application of data governance frameworks, data security best practices, and compliance regulations
- Expertise with version control (Git) and building robust CI/CD pipelines for analytics workflows
- Experience in stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and presenting complex analytical solutions to executive-level audiences
- Familiarity with other components of the modern data stack (e.g., Fivetran, Airflow, Monte Carlo)
