Requirements

• Associate degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field
• Previous experience in a copy editor role
• Comfortability managing multiple brand style guidelines and preferences

Responsibilities

• Edit and fact-check content (includes but is not limited to blogs, long-form guides, emails, text messages, PR bylines, web pages, video scripts, and social media posts)
• Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
• Check content against brand guidelines, internal copy preferences, and AP style guide
• Ensure consistency in tone and voice across all content types
• Fact-check for industry, software, and brand accuracies
• Review content for SEO best practices and readability
• Submit edits in a timely manner to ensure the team is meeting all publish dates and staying aligned with content calendar
• Provide detailed feedback to writers, when needed, to arrive at a final piece of content that’s in line with brand expectations
• Identify inconsistencies that should be added to internal copy preferences and brand guidelines
