Copywriter

Summary

Join Okendo's marketing team as a highly creative and detail-oriented Copywriter. You will craft compelling copy for various marketing channels, including email, social media, and the website. Collaboration with the SEO agency and other GTM functions is key. The ideal candidate possesses strong ecommerce understanding and experience writing for diverse digital marketing platforms. You will be responsible for content production, conceptualization, research and storytelling, SEO optimization, and maintaining consistent grammar and brand voice. This role requires 3+ years of experience in content creation and excellent writing skills.

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of producing elegant, engaging written content and can provide samples
• Possess excellent English writing and communication skills
• Be seen as positive, energetic, and exude a strong sense of teamwork by working effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with all team members
• Have solid time-management skills with the ability to execute consistently in a fast-paced, high-pressure, dynamic environment and carry out self-directed responsibilities
• Understand how content should support the buyer’s journey
• Think like a marketer and have the curiosity of a journalist

Responsibilities

• Produce copy for various content & assets including blogs, guides, case studies, one-pagers, landing pages, webpages, email, social, paid advertising, video scripts, and more
• Translate complex strategic approaches into easily accessible creative concepts
• Create compelling ideas and tag lines for marketing campaigns, GTM launches, events, webinars, etc
• Take a topic or idea, research it, and turn it into a compelling content piece
• Work with other GTM members including sales, product marketing, and success to understand key areas, features, or customers to highlight within these stories to support broader company goals
• Take recommended keyword topics and properly integrate them into SEO-driven content pieces
• Post blogs & guides on the website to ensure technical SEO is optimized
• Work cross-functionally to help meet copy needs while maintaining a consistent company voice
• Consistently contribute ideas and strategies for producing the best content possible
