Summary

Join our team as a talented and creative Course Designer on a part-time contract basis to design, develop, and implement engaging and effective learning experiences for our employees and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design and course development, preferably in a corporate or educational setting
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and learning management systems (LMS)
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and best practices in online education
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously on a part-time schedule, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including subject matter experts and other stakeholders
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to design innovative and engaging learning experiences
  • High attention to detail, ensuring all courses are accurate, error-free, and of the highest quality
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to course design, content, or technology, and implement effective solutions

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality, interactive online courses and learning materials that align with the organization’s objectives and learning goals
  • Create engaging multimedia content, including videos, quizzes, simulations, and assessments, to enhance the learning experience
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning objectives, target audiences, and knowledge gaps, using data-driven insights to inform course design
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure course content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to learners’ needs
  • Manage the development of courses on a part-time basis, ensuring timely completion within the agreed-upon scope and budget
  • Utilize e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS) to develop and deliver courses
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of courses through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making data-driven improvements as needed
  • Ensure all course content adheres to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Design courses with a strong focus on user experience, ensuring ease of navigation, accessibility, and learner engagement
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all course materials, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in instructional design (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance - CPLP) or related areas are a plus
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and experience designing courses for diverse learner needs
