CSAC Clinical Specialist in Worldwide

Summary

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for supervising clinical staff and providing mental health and substance abuse services to clients in an outpatient clinic or in the community. They are also expected to perform tasks such as completing assessments, managing client care, ensuring billable hours, and providing individual and group therapy.

Requirements

• Candidate must be licensed or licensed-eligible as an LPC or LCSW to provide clinical services by the State of Virginia, with experience providing mental health and substance abuse services. CSAC certification also desired
• Ability to set strategic objectives for mid-size social service organization; working knowledge of human services system, roles of human services personnel, and relevant community resources; ability to screen, hire, manage, and evaluate staff; ability to conduct and facilitate meetings

Responsibilities

• Responsible for following through with referrals and completing assessments (initial, reassessments, comprehensive assessments)
• Responsible for case assignment and maintenance of client care
• Ensures that billable hours are achieved for clients assigned to counselors under his/her supervision
• Provides weekly administrative and clinical supervision to staff
• Evaluates staff performance
