Summary
Join DigiCert as a Security Consultant and provide expert consulting services for our security products and solutions to a global client base. You will integrate DigiCert products with IT systems, proactively address client needs, and participate in pre-sales meetings. This role requires strong technical expertise in DigiCert's offerings and a deep understanding of PKI and digital trust. You will also develop documentation, troubleshoot issues, manage projects, and provide ongoing guidance to internal and external teams. The position requires extensive experience in IT systems integration, scripting, and cloud technologies, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Travel to customer sites and industry events may be required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in integrating IT systems and solutions including extending functionality via scripting and customizations
- Bachelorβs degree in Systems Management, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity
- Fluent in writing and speaking English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage in continuous learning and apply strong analytical skills to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members
- Experience in deploying and configuring applications on cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud, particularly using Kubernetes and container technologies
- Strong understanding of core cloud computing concepts (compute, storage, networking) and best practices for deployment, scaling, and security
- Hands on experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Salt, and Istio
- Strong understanding of Git and experience managing code through GitHub
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows
- Familiarity with OpenSSL, cURL and SQL statements
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, and Unix scripts)
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Java, C#, or a similar language)
- Comfortable with REST API integrations
- Proficient in configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions utilizing SAML and/or OpenID
- Hands on experience using and managing Windows Server 2019+ and Linux
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and LDAP
- Understanding of computer networking concepts and hands on experience in troubleshooting network related issues
- Understanding of cryptographic concepts including symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, hash algorithms, digital signatures, encryption, etc
- Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts, best practices & protocols
- Knowledge of industry best practices for PKI and current trends in digital trust, with the ability to communicate these concepts clearly and effectively
- Familiarity with security protocols such as SSL/TLS, S/MIME, 802.1x, EAP-TLS, etc
- Familiarity with code signing
- Familiarity with hardware security modules (HSMs), secure chips, and secure key storage
Responsibilities
- Integrate DigiCert security products and solutions with IT systems, extending functionality through scripting and customizations to meet specific client needs
- Exhibit a proactive security mindset and apply industry best practices in the design and implementation of security products and solutions to effectively address client needs and mitigate risks
- Demonstrate a deep technical understanding of DigiCert security products and solutions
- Participate in pre-sales meetings to understand customer needs and create statements of work
- Deploy & configure DigiCert security products and solutions
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including architecture and networking diagrams, related to the implementation of DigiCert security products and solutions
- Assist clients in troubleshooting issues related to DigiCert products and solutions and raise internal support cases as required
- Capture feature request input from prospects/customers and provide it to Product Management teams as needed
- Effectively manage projects through planning, tracking, and reporting and provide periodic updates to key stakeholders
- Proactively engage in Professional Services process improvement initiatives and contribute to creating reusable templates and checklists
- Serve as a trusted advisor on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital trust issues
- Provide ongoing guidance and education to DigiCert field teams, sales personnel, partners, and customers on PKI and digital trust best practices, ensuring they understand and implement these principles effectively
- Travel to customer sites and industry forums/conferences as needed to support the objectives of the department
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent experience in a services delivery role as a Professional Services Engineer, Consultant, Resident Engineer, or Solutions Architect
- Experience with delivering PKI or Cybersecurity consulting services and solutions
- IT security certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CASP+, CISM, CCSP, or SSCP
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and related components
- Experience with PKI CLM solutions such as DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager, Venafi, Sectigo Certificate Manager, GlobalSign Managed PKI, Key Factor, and AppViewX
- Experience with certificate discovery tools, both agent-based and agentless
- Experience with setting up certificates on routers, load balancers, SSL inspection devices and web servers like Microsoft IIS, Apache, and Tomcat
- Hands on experience with configuring, integrating, and customizing ITSM services such as ServiceNow, BMC Helix, and Jira
- Experience with Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solutions such as Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, Jamf Pro, Ivanti MobileIron and IBM MaaS360
- Hands on experience with hardware security modules (HSMs), including setup and deployment with high availability
- Knowledge of signing applications using code signing certificates
- Familiarity with MariaDB, Oracle, or SQL Server
