Cybersecurity Analyst

Join HONK, a fast-growing technology company disrupting the roadside assistance space, in seeking a highly skilled and proactive Security Analyst to take primary responsibility for our organization's day-to-day cybersecurity operations and drive continuous improvements in our security program.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a cyber security or related role
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, security technologies, and best practices
• Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the continuous monitoring of security systems and networks
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of current security measures, identify gaps and research and propose new security technologies and methodologies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related issues and initiatives
• Act as the primary security evangelist within the organization, conduct regular security training sessions, workshops, and simulations (e.g., phishing exercises)
• Represent the engineering team’s from a security point of view in team in cross-functional projects and initiatives
• Assist in security reviews of software designs and architectures when requested
• Stay informed about application security trends and communicate relevant updates to the engineering team
