Cybersecurity Engineer

Summary

Join Phoenix Cyber as a Cybersecurity Engineer and work remotely from home, with minimal travel. This position requires a STEM degree or 5+ years of experience, along with 10 years of relevant IT experience and 3 years of operational technology experience. A DOD Secret Clearance (with the ability to obtain a TS) and relevant certifications are also needed. You will provide technical expertise, solve cybersecurity problems, analyze security requirements, and support the planning and design of information systems. The role demands adaptability in a fast-paced environment and collaboration with a cross-functional team.

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM related discipline and/or a minimum 5 years of experience
• Ten (10) years of relevant IT experience
• Three (3) Years of relevant Operational Technology experience
• DOD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS
• Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 IAT level III, and IASAE level III
• Computing Environment (CE): Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or Expert, Cisco Certified Network Administrator, Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, Amazon Certified Security, or designated CE by the COR
• Prior consulting experience

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and real-life experience in creating innovative solutions within the cybersecurity space
• Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized Cybersecurity problems
• Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to cybersecurity requirements
• Analyzes information security requirements
• Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning
• Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, integration of information systems
• Ability to navigate and adapt to a fast-paced ever-changing environment with a team of like-minded, cross-functional individuals
