Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree or industry experience equivalent
• DoDI 8140 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or greater)
• Hands-on experience in Risk Management Framework(RMF) security assessments
• Demonstrated cybersecurity experience with Linux operating systems
• Experience with Cloud(e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.)
• 2+ years experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• XACTA and EMASS experience
• Specific knowledge of NIST RMF 800-53 controls

Responsibilities

• Actively manage the system and provide continuous monitoring of the live cyber environment
• Provide superior technical customer service and assess security vulnerabilities from either a physical or cyber perspective
• Plan and lead major technology initiatives, evaluate performance results and recommend changes for growth and success
• Lead other team members by applying a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and critical projects
• Work with the Pipeline Architect and Software Engineering SMEs to ensure that DoD IA thresholds are met and built into pipeline tooling and configuration

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S.; Computer Science or Engineering field
• Experience hardening Kubernetes and containers a plus
• CISSP
• Providing technical guidance to junior team members
• Leading a technical team
• Local to San Antonio, TX
