Summary

edX is hiring a Cybersecurity professional to teach in their immersive learning experience as an instructor. This is a fully remote, part-time position where instructors lead online lectures, build community, and provide support to students. The job requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of work experience in Cybersecurity, along with proficiency in various cybersecurity tools and programming languages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Cybersecurity
• Completion of background check with satisfactory results, determined at edX’s discretion
• Must have a laptop, camera, and reliable internet access
• Proficiency in networking with packet analysis, wireshark, router and switch configuration
• Proficiency in systems with Windows and Linux
• Proficiency in Cybersecurity with secure network design and architecture, vulnerability assessment, and cryptography
• Proficiency in Ethical Hack and Penetration with Kali Linux, Metasploit, or Burp Suite
• Proficiency in Programming and Scripting with Python Program and Bash Scripting

Responsibilities

• Lead online lectures following a detailed lesson plan that includes an active discussion environment and project-based learning
• Bring the learning experience to life by building community and enhancing relevance by drawing on your own industry experience
• Provide support and encouragement to students as they go through a life-changing experience
• Create an engaging, positive, and inclusive learning environment for our students
