You will apply your expertise in data analysis to support federal clients, developing reports and dashboards, and working with large datasets. Requirements

  • BA or BS degree and 6+ years of Data Analytics experience, or equivalent education and experience
  • Highly proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
  • Experience with enterprise software or tools used for business analytics, data analysis, and visualization such as Tableau, Oracle BI/Oracle Analytics Server, PowerPivot, Power BI, MS Access, or Visio
  • Excellent data gathering and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex data, including sensitive analyses, predictive analyses, and trends analyses
  • Experience with data visualization methods and approaches
  • Experience providing executive-level reports and dashboards for federal clients
  • Experience with general data analysis tasks such as identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends; acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases; filtering and "cleaning" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct problems; developing and refining ad hoc reports; and identifying and prioritizing business and information needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information in a concise and compelling manner
  • Experience working with large data sets to distill information and present to all levels of organizational leadership
  • Ability to govern workload and demonstrated time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to function within a team-based work environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge and experience to obtain, integrate and report client data
  • Develop, update, and apply data models to generate reports and analysis to inform stakeholders
  • Retrieve, validate, format, and organize a variety of data from many sources
  • Conduct data analysis to answer standard or recurring inquiries and identify trends, correlation, and other relationships in data sets. Make recommendations for reporting and data management improvements, including continual enhancement of analytics tools
  • Work across various stakeholders to understand data trends, sources, and analysis goals and connect data to business processes to obtain a deeper understanding of potential considerations and assumptions
  • Work with technical support and data engineering teams to develop technical and functional requirements for existing and new analytical solutions
  • Troubleshoot issues in reports related to data
  • Conduct detail-oriented tasks and analysis projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Create supporting materials for analysis projects (assumptions, briefings, handouts, written documents, user guides, etc.)
  • Produce written deliverables to include reports, spreadsheets, databases, formal process mapping, technical design, system testing, and implementation activities
  • Develop metrics to identify trends in training and other integral data
  • Lead the application of analytic techniques and help define project objectives and strategic direction
  • Resolve complex problems, which require in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles
