Join Dandy, a revolutionary tech company transforming the dental industry, as a Senior Data Analyst. You will leverage your data analysis expertise to support Marketing, Sales, and Account Management teams in customer acquisition, revenue growth, and retention. This highly cross-functional role demands autonomy, strategic thinking, and collaboration with stakeholders. You will develop insights, define data language, facilitate decision-making, and design A/B experiments. Mentorship opportunities are also available. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience in revenue, retention, or customer life cycle analytics.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working in revenue, retention, or customer life cycle analytics, ideally in a B2B setting
  • BA/BS in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering with customer empathy or a BA/BS in behavioral science (economics, psychology, etc) with statistics skills
  • Excellent SQL & Python skills
  • Strong communication skills and experience communicating results in a way that drives change. You have the ability to use data to inform, align, and lead
  • Strong senses of autonomy and ownership
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and statistical skills
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver value is cross functional setting

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your data super powers to reduce ambiguity and solve problems
  • Develop and share insights that drive the business to better serve, acquire, and retain customers
  • Define the data language (i.e. KPIs, dashboards, measurement, etc) to ensure your team grasps the underlying truth that drives progress and success
  • Facilitate rapid decision making through ad hoc work or by democratizing data/self service (effective BI or user-friendly explores in Looker in partnership with our data engineers)
  • Design and execute effective A/B experiments that identify ways to improve outcomes
  • Be a strategic thought partner with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Mentor other analysts and help them grow

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a B2B sales pipeline and revenue data at a company like Shopify, Amazon, Uber, Lyft, Instacart, or the like
  • Strong customer empathy, particularly for dentists
  • Have experience turning vague business problems into statistical rigorous analyses & solutions (e.g. causal inference, predictive modeling)
  • Interest in working and learning in an earlier stage company where we’re still working out some of the basics
  • Experience in Looker, Hex, and dbt
