Data Analyst

Join Gridware, a company developing innovative hardware to safeguard communities from electricity distribution disasters. We are seeking a Data Analyst to analyze data from our fleet of devices. This role is crucial for real-time monitoring and preventing catastrophic events. As an early team member, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring the power grid, acting as the first line of defense against power line faults. Your work will directly contribute to preventing disasters and ensuring fleet reliability. The position offers an hourly rate of $6-$9 USD. We are looking for highly motivated individuals passionate about working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• STEM degree (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics)
• Proficiency in English - must be able to efficiently communicate event information
• Basic understanding of data analytics and anomaly detection
• A passion for working in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, proactive, able to perform duties without supervision
• Being willing to work night shifts and weekends
• Ability to work 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time data streams from field sensors and respond to alerts
• Consistently follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to investigate and localize real-time faults with minimal error
• Quickly and efficiently work with Supervisors on ad-hoc data requests, and follow up during ongoing investigations

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic proficiency with Python programming
• Research experience (STEM preferred)
• Experience working with metadata or data annotation
• Experience with real-time work and/or making reports
