Summary
Join Hakkoda, a modern data consultancy, as a Data Architect to lead architectural discussions and design exercises for large-scale data migrations. You will work with clients and Hakkoda teams in the UK and Portugal, leveraging your experience in analyzing system requirements and implementing migration methods for existing data. This role requires hands-on experience migrating critical databases across multiple platforms and developing database migration solutions. You'll be part of a passionate, collaborative team focused on personal development and growth. Hakkoda offers a remote-first work environment with a co-working space in Lisbon and various benefits.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree (BA/BS) in computer science, information systems, Mathematics, MIS or related field
- 6+ yrs proven work experience in data warehousing/BI/analytics
- 3+ yrs as an Architect
- 3+ yrs experience working in Cloud platforms
- Understanding of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT ingestion pipeline with tools like DataStage, Informatica, Matillion
- Experience on Data Modeling
- Experience on cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google)
- Project management skills and experience working with Scrum and Agile Development methods
- Strong communication skills
- People Leadership Skills
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural discussions and design exercises to build and automate large scale migration of data with our clients and Hakkoda teams in the UK and Portugal
- Analyze system requirements and implement migration methods for existing data
- Develop database migration solutions to ensure the clients information is stored effectively and securely
- Guide clients and team members
