Data Architect

Summary

Join NT Concepts, an innovative and agile company dedicated to national security, as a Data Architect (Modeler). You will contribute to critical government systems, designing and building data stores using various database technologies. This role demands a strong understanding of data design and architecture principles and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. The position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects within the Intel Community. A minimum Active TS/SCI clearance is required. Remote work flexibility is available with on-site work in the DC Metro area as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Architect, Designer, Engineer, or similar role
• Strong understanding of entity-relationship design principles (OOP)
• Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, Tom Sawyer Perspectives, etc.)
• Strong demonstrated experience with SQL and proficiency in writing complex queries
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Minimum Active TS/SCI clearance
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at times

Responsibilities

• Design and build new data stores using relational, graph, and NoSQL databases
• Design, develop, and implement conceptual, logical and physical data models to include ElasticSearch, Historic Database, and ability to record data chain of custody
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented data designs
• Collaborate with quality assurance team members to ensure data quality and functionality
• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into data model solutions
• Support developers with Extract Transform Load (ETL) code implementation
• Optimize, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues
• Collaborate with data-scientists and -analysts to ensure data accessibility
• Stay up-to-date on the latest data engineering tools and technologies
