Data Architect

Summary

Join Rackspace Technology as a Data Architect and deliver Business Intelligence & Data Analytics solutions to our customers. You will perform data analysis, recommend solutions, and work with both functional and technical project personnel. Lead requirements gathering workshops and develop a data analytics strategy and architecture. Architect BI and data lake/data warehouse solutions and work with onshore/offshore resources. This role requires extensive experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and advanced development concepts.

Requirements

• 10+years’ experience with Business Intelligence and Data warehousing
• Hands on skills in project management, architecture, development and Design for data analytics applications
• Good understanding of architecture and design for large scale data warehousing/data lake solutions
• Experience in technical lead position in abased data warehouse engagement: Team co-ordination / Technical design / Development / Testing / User Training / Deployment
• Very good knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Metadata modeling techniques(star schema snowflake, model federated data sources, SCD, etc.) and the application of each of the schemas in business situations
• Demonstrated experience with translating business requirements into data analysis and reporting solutions
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Candidate must have prior experience coordinating offshore teams and working in the onsite offshore model
• Strong SQL or Spark development skills is required
• Experience in data analysis and data testing
• Experience with ETL tools such as Oracle warehouse builder or Informatica
• Focus on Data Quality issues / problems. (completeness, conformity, consistency, accuracy, duplicates, integrity)
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management

• Delivering Business Intelligence & Data Analytics solutions for our customers
• Performing data analysis on analytical requirements and recommending solutions
• Work with both functional and technical project personnel, providing in-depth knowledge of BI information delivery/presentation methodology
• Strong ability to extract and document requirements from end users, including leading requirements gathering workshops
• Develop and enforce a data analytics strategy and architecture including System Design, processes and tools
• Architecting BI and data lake / data warehouse solutions on at least five full life cycle large projects of high complexity
• Extensive experience with advanced development concepts: data modeling, data warehouse/ data lake architecture, performance tuning
• Working with onshore/offshore resources to execute client projects
