Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in data collection, web scraping, or similar roles
• Proficiency in Python
• Strong understanding of how websites are built and structured (static, Web 2.0, SPAs)
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle large datasets
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a virtual team environment
• Willingness to learn new skills and expand existing knowledge

Responsibilities

• Write, maintain, and execute automated scripts in Python to collect data from public web sources
• Use tools like Scrapy and Selenium (while minimizing Selenium usage) to extract, structure, and format web data
• Monitor and maintain ongoing web scraping projects, ensuring data quality and consistency
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure compatibility of data with internal systems
• Develop frameworks to improve data quality and reduce maintenance costs
• Launch new data collection initiatives while optimizing and improving existing processes
