Data Engineer

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Demonstrated experience in data modelling and implementation of data warehouses and data lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, S3, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (Python, R, Java)
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS preferred)
• Previous experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
• Confidence in English (written and spoken level B2)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the data architecture that best supports our business needs
• Implement scalable and cost-effective data pipelines and data flows for structured and unstructured data
• Be responsible for BizAway ETL process
• Implement data models to support analytics, reporting and AI/ML initiatives
• Closely work with other departments, such as Product and Engineering, in ensuring data quality, reliability and availability
• Ensure that data governance, security, and compliance best practices are put in place together with comprensive documentation for both internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
• Previous experience in the travel industry or similar sectors
• Previous experience with data modelling in Qlik Cloud
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts
