Summary

Join Encora's dynamic team in Brazil as a Data Engineer working remotely! You will contribute to creating and managing data pipeline ingestion, data modeling, and data consumption solutions. Collaborate with the product team to define requirements and explore solutions, design and migrate data pipelines, and participate in the full development lifecycle. This role requires proven Python proficiency for data engineering, SQL and AWS experience, and familiarity with building data workflows using specified tools. Agile experience is essential. Knowledge of PySpark, additional AWS services, CI/CD tools, and Snowflake features are highly desirable.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency with Python applied to Data Engineering tasks
  • Experience with SQL and AWS
  • Familiarity with building data workflows and pipelines using AWS Step Functions, Snowflake (Databricks desirable) and orchestration tools like Airflow
  • Experience working in Agile Teams

Responsibilities

  • Work with the product team to understand requirements and explore potential solutions
  • Design new and migrate existing data pipelines and workflows
  • Engage in discussions regarding the trade-offs of different design approaches, elaborate detailed design documents or meet and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Participation in the complete cycle of development from requirements gathering, development, and testing
  • Participation in technical discussions with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PySpark and AWS Services such as AWS Glue and AWS Step Functions
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Tools (like Jenkins) and Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with Snowflake features like materialized views and data masking
