Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
• 1+ years of software engineering experience (Java/Scala/Python)
• Experience with large-scale distributed data systems (AWS, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Strong understanding of SQL databases
• Familiarity with AWS services, serverless architecture, and containers
• Ability to orchestrate data processing systems (Airflow)
• Quality code writing and building secure, highly available systems
• Experience with dataframes (Pandas, Dask, Spark)
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts effectively
• Self-starter with initiative, collaborative, and eager to adopt new technologies

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support ETL pipelines using Snowflake, AirFlow, Looker, Kafka, and Spark
• Handle petabyte-scale data ingestion with Spark/Snowpipe
• Design partitioning and clustering strategies for efficient OLAP operations on large Snowflake tables
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into data pipelines
• Own and scale core data pipelines, providing support and bug fixes
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and follow best practices
• Generate reports using SQL, Python, Spark, and LookML
• Work on PoCs to test emerging technologies
• Enhance and build reports in Looker as needed
• Continue skill development under mentorship
