Join Shift Technology's Engineering team as a Data Engineer and play a pivotal role in designing, enhancing, and scaling our cutting-edge data platform. Requirements
- Expertise in modern data engineering tools and practices
- Passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies
- A collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor and support team members
- Proficiency in data modeling
- Experience with NoSQL data stores (graph, document, etc.)
- Experience with data transformation tools (e.g. dbt, sqlmesh, pyspark)
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python or SQL)
- Knowledge of big data technologies like Spark
- Familiarity with data warehousing
- You can communicate fluently in English
Responsibilities
- Design and Define: Collaborate on the vision and architecture of Shiftβs data platform to meet evolving business and technical needs
- Tool Selection and Implementation: Research, evaluate, and implement the best tools and frameworks to optimize our data infrastructure
- Innovation and Experimentation : Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring technological advancements, conducting research, and building proof-of-concepts (POCs) to test new solutions
- Upskill and Mentor : Share your expertise by providing technical guidance, mentoring peers, and fostering a culture of learning and innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with designing scalable, robust data platforms
- Experience with ML serving
- You often come up with new ideas to solve complex problems
- You want your work to have an impact : rather than a cog, you see yourself as the engine
- You are used to work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists or engineers
