Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related role
  • Hands-on experience with the design and implementation of dimensional data models
  • Experience working with cloud storage solutions, preferably Amazon S3
  • Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling concepts
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and optimize data workflows
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand e-commerce data requirements and translate them into robust data models and transformations
  • Design, develop, and maintain data transformation pipelines using DBT and PySpark
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance by implementing best practices in testing, monitoring, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, performance bottlenecks, and downstream data consumption
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure, processes, and tooling
  • Document processes, workflows, and technical designs to support team knowledge sharing and onboarding

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Apache HUDI, and knowledge of similar table formats like Apache Iceberg or Databricks Delta Lake is a plus
  • Experience working in e-commerce companies, with a good understanding of key data domains such as customer behavior, sales, inventory, or marketing analytics
  • Experience in managing data warehouse models for large complex business requirements
  • Familiarity with AWS as the cloud platform
  • Exposure to CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployment
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
