Data Engineer

Summary

The job is for an experienced Data Engineer to join Spaulding Ridge's Data Solutions Team in Spain. The role involves designing and implementing data integration jobs and pipelines, analytics data models, learning new tools, obtaining certifications, staying updated on new features, communicating with customers, proposing creative solutions, and being a voice for the customers during internal meetings.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience modeling and manipulating datasets with SQL and/or Python
• 2+ years working with Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake, Google BigQuery)
• 2+ years of Knowledge of data orchestration tools and concepts (Apache Airflow, Dagster, dbt, etc)
• 4+ years developing Object Oriented Coding (Python)
• 2+ years working with cloud services technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure). Preferably Data Engineer certifications
• 2+ years handling API requests using Python, Postman, etc
• Knowledge of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, GHA, etc
• Basic knowledge of any BI tool such as Looker, Data Studio, Metabase, ChartIO, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etc
• Self-motivation to study, and discover new products and technologies in the data landscape
• Ability to fluently speak and write in English
• Previous experience in delivering technical presentations
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of Data Integration jobs and pipelines using cloud technologies, API requests, ETL/ELT tools, etc
• Design and implementation of Analytics Data Models in Cloud using SQL and/or Python
• Learn new tools at the advanced level and help customers do the same
• Obtain new certifications to add value to our current and future customers
• Stay up-to-date to help customers prepare for the use of new features
• Proactively communicate with our customers to resolve product issues and provide guidance to improve relationships, tool usage and processes
• Think beyond the task at hand; understand how our customers define their own success with the tool and help them work toward that goal
• Proactively propose creative solutions to address clients’ business challenges and goals
• Be a voice for our customers during internal meetings and discussions
